A very good practice struggling under NHS pressures like all

I have had a series of appointments investigating a continuing problem. Although there have been some inevitable delays between hospital tests, results and appointments every time I have been seen by a doctor or nurse I have received very, very good treatment and consideration. Yes, it has not always been possible to get routine appointments without a wait of up to a month but the telephone appointment service and then referral to an urgent appointment with another doctor has worked well. During the course of this illness and continuing investigation I have been seen by 2 different doctors and had a telephone appointment with a third and a nurse-led spirometry appointment. All of these have been professional and it is clear that the doctors communicate with each other about my condition/treatment/testing so I do not feel that seeing different doctors is a particular problem - in fact it can be an advantage as they look afresh at the issue. I do think that some of the critical reviews relate to the general pressures which exist on all GP services in the NHS and do not recognise that resources are stretched by an ageing population and insufficient numbers of GPs and nurses generally. I am more than happy to recommend this practice. Only negative comment (and it really isn't serious) is that I have been offered someone else's medication on 3 occasions because there is another registered patient with the same name as myself, but the dispensing staff usually avoid this.

Great care

Left a review grumbling about problems with appointments, prescriptions etc. so only fair I eat some humble pie and post to say that I had some non-routine issues and could not have asked for better service or treatment, receptionist, duty doctor and nurse practitioner really helpful. Phoned in and seen same morning, commenced treatment and follow up booked. Thank you all.

Patient at this Practice for over 40yrs

Things have changed. Haven't been able to see my registered doctor for a few years now can not get a referred appointment for over a month from asking, following screen referral. Very worrying having to wait to find out if it is a serious problem. I am flexible when and where appointment but still weeks to wait. Looking at private service.
