MMR Vaccine Catch-up

As some of you will be aware, cases of Measles are on the rise in the UK, and at the highest numbers for well over a decade.

This is mostly due to increasing rates of vaccination refusals for routine childhood immunisations.

As part of a national response to this increase in cases, Three Chequers Medical Practice will be inviting patients who have not had two recorded MMR vaccinations to complete a course of vaccinations in the coming weeks and months.

We are working hard, behind the scenes, to ensure that sufficient appointments are available before attempting to contact patients to book their appointments.

Please do not contact us about booking these catch-up vaccinations, but instead keep checking back in with our webpage or sign up for SMS communications (if you have not already) to receive updates.

If you think you may have measles, please visit the NHS website for advice on how to prevent transmission, and contact the surgery by telephone to discuss this with a Clinician but do not attend the surgery as Measles is highly contagious.
