MMR Vaccines
The MMR vaccine is the safest and most effective way to protect children and the community from measles, mumps and rubella, which can cause serious illness.
- the first dose is offered at 1 year of age
- the second dose is offered at around 3 years and 4 months
(If you are not sure if your child is up to date with all their routine vaccinations check their Red Book (personal child health record)).

If your child is due to have had two doses of MMR but has not yet received them, or has missed them for any reason, you should contact the surgery on 01722 336 441 to get them vaccinated as soon as possible. To find out more visit nhs.uk/MMR. Protect your child with both doses of the MMR vaccine at the right time.
