COVID-19 Vaccine Update
TO ALL OF OUR PATIENTS
The Practice, in coordination with the Sarum South Primary Care Network, is pressing forwards in our efforts to provide COVID vaccinations to our patients.
Work on this began on 14th January in Care Homes and the 16th January at Salisbury Cathedral.
Since then, clinics have been held regularly and we are making excellent progress in ensuring our patients are being vaccinated.
We are able to book the following patients for their vaccine, in line with guidance received from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI):
- Those in Older Person’s Care Homes and their carers
- People over 80 years of age
- Frontline Health and Social Care Workers
- People aged 70 or over
- Patients considered Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, or Shielding
- Patients aged 50 to 64 with underlying health conditions
We are inviting individuals from any of these groups to book their vaccine with us by calling 01722 336441.
If you are aged 70 or over, and have not yet had your COVID-19 Vaccine, please either:
- Telephone 119
- Visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination
- Call the Surgery on 01722 336441
We are sure you are aware that appointments for vaccinations are in exceptionally high demand. Therefore we ask that you make sure you only book one appointment for your vaccine and that you do not miss your appointment. If you cannot attend, please contact the Practice. If you have booked your vaccine at the City Hall, please contact them using the details provided on your invitation.
Once you have been vaccinated, it remains essential to adhere to the current national lockdown and follow guidance on social distancing:
- Wash your Hands
- Wear a face mask as advised
- Keep 2 metres apart
“The vaccine is safe, simple and will offer you and those around you crucial protection against this virus”
Dr Nikki Kanani Medical Director NHS England
Thank you for your patience
