Practice Update 

From Thursday 29th May 2025, Three Chequers Medical Practice will be outsourcing some of our Practice call handling to a company called ‘CallCare Health'. 

Who are CallCare Health?

CallCare Health is a UK based patient care provider who have been providing remote telephony support for Primary Care,  working alongside GP surgeries for over 25 years.

What this means for patients?

When you call the surgery, your call may be answered by a remote call handler located in their Manchester based office.  The call handlers have been trained to follow the Practice's exisiting policies and procedures. CallCare Health  will work as a natural extension of our Practice Team, providing the same high standards of care , safeguarding the patient experience while relieving pressure on our Practice Team.

Why have we done this?

The Practice has made this decision due to the failure to recruit and retain Reception staff, despite our best continued efforts. CallCare Health will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, allowing our existing Practice Team to focus their time and expertise where they are needed most. 

How we handle your information?

There is no change to how your information will be stored, the Practice will continue to be the Data Controller of your medical record. The Practice will control which members of CallCare Health can access your record remotely via the Health and Social Care Network and this access will be audited to ensure your information is being handled appropriately, in line with Data Protection legislation.
